NYC Dog Rescue: Save a Dog from a Death Sentence

We call your attention to the good work that a team of dog rescue people have put together in the New York City area.

Amsterdog.com has pictures and stories of some sweet dogs that will make excellent pets for your family, The city shelters are over crowded and strays that are rounded up do not have a chance of survival unless kind people like you and others make a place in your hearts and in your homes.

Read their story of how their group got started after Hurricane Katrina where they rounded up hundreds of lost and strayed dogs that had no chance of reunion and were in various states of starving to death.  These rescuers placed hundreds of great dogs in new homes and now they work on saving dogs in with their NYC Dog Rescue non-profit.

All dogs are healthy, clean, have their shots and are spayed or neutered, as well as being micro chipped.

Help them out and you will be doing yourself a big favor also.

A NYC Halal Cart Named For Its Street Address

I’ve been to New York City many times as a tourist and have even stopped just to eat at this halal cart in Midtown Manhattan late at night while on our way to Rhode Island. … Maybe it’s eating outside in open air, maybe it’s eating late at night, or maybe it’s just great ingredients seasoned and cooked right. With four workers at the cart, each concentrating on his specific task, there are even more workers bringing in fresh meat at various times of the night. …

The New Yorker Hotel is on Twitter

Hi friends,

We are finally re-launching this site at wefollownewyork.com as a Blog and website review site and listing of Twitter people that tweet about any location in New York State.

Over the past weekend I helped a friend start to build a database of Twitter users that are physically ‘located’ in New York and it will become a fabulous directory of geo targeted Twitter users. Someone else will be administering the Twitter NY location list and I will continue to build this site.

At this time I intend to review quality sites where the subject is about New York and as I was asked by one of my followers to do a site review I am happy to do so.

The New Yorker Hotel is on Twitter and you will want to follow them. Their Twitter name is @newyorkhotel. From their profile and follow page you may link to their official website at newyorkerhotel.com.

This is a magnificent landmark hotel in Manhattan and all visitors to New York City could do no better in selecting lodging while visiting the Big Apple. From their website you will find tabs of interest for all of their categories such as; NY City hotels, About the New Yorker, Accommodations, Fine Dining, Leisure Travel, Business Travel, Group Travel, Meetings & Events and Maps & Directions.

The New Yorker Hotel is located at West 34th Street and Eighth Avenue right across from Penn Station. In their own words: … “newly renovated and upgraded guest rooms and suites deliver contemporary comforts that leave nothing to be desired for today’s business travelers.”

To interested readers, if you have a New York site that you would like to have mentioned on this Blog please use the contact form or request on Twitter @wefollownewyork.
